Cotton candy trees and stronghold clouds
Drift across my plane of thought.
A train races through one ear, swiftly out the other.
Passengers wave at tinted dreams
Hoping to travel through a world of ambitions.
“Hello,” I said to my newfound happiness.
“Hello,” I said to my open-minded future.

“It’s nice to finally meet you.”

it's been awhile.
i was just writing. this really had no structure or no thought to it. i just. wrote. it came out in less than five minutes.

it's what i wish could happen.

Eh wishing is nice but taking action is better why wish and wait, when you can pursue and fallow? I always saw you as a person who cashed after what she wanted not wished for it to happen and waited I don't one thought in trade for the one you just gave me I guess, not that my thoughts on the matter are all that important and shouldn't concern you but I thought I'd give me thoughts in exchange for yours.

I really love the "Cotton candy trees" part! Sounds quite delicious if you ask me. There's something really carefree and almost childlike about it. I guess, to me anyway, it's something a little child would think when they were supposed to be doing something more important. A simple summer daydream :)

This is the first text I :+fav: here, on dA. I don't know why, I feel like I can connect to it. And I don't know why, but I feel like I can't at all. "Cotton candy trees and stronghold clouds" - this childlike portrait made me fall in love with the poem instantly.
